Propose a new feat that could help prevent accidental item loss during gameplay.

I’d like to propose a new feat that could help prevent accidental item loss during gameplay.
Best regards

General Feat: "Item Bond" (or something similar)

This feat allows a player to bind specific items, such as weapons, armor, or accessories to their character. Once bonded, the item becomes locked in the inventory and cannot be sold, dropped, or unequipped accidentally. This helps prevent loss due to misclicks, merchant interactions, or inventory overflow.

To activate, open your Character Sheet and use the feat directly on the item you wish to bind. The item will be marked as “Bonded.” To remove the bond, activate the feat again on the same item.

I’m pushing for this proposed feat. It would be my second lost epic weapon in four months.
Is it possible to make this happen? See my suggestion above.

May I ask, how is this loss happening? are you selling it by mistake, losing it to transition with a full inventory, or something else?

Personally I've found that by customising my items (custom icon and name) means its basically impossible for me to lose my items accidentally.

Hello renshouj,
I was RPing in The Wide in Baldur’s Gate and selling my items to the merchant with an almost full inventory. I usually check carefully when selling, but this time I didn’t notice that I sold something I didn’t intend to. I know for a fact that I had the axe when switching from server 2 to server 1. Poor to that.
I always double‑check after leaving a merchant in case I accidentally sold something I shouldn’t have, but this time I was deep in RP and the server reset. When i logged in like 6 hours later the axe wasnt there.

I don’t know if Vault rollbacks are still being given, but they used to be allowed once per year.

Maybe you can ask Goat, and maybe there was a vault backup from the last week, and you can get the epic war axe back (but you’d also lose any other new gear you may have acquired).
