Is there any possibility that these two spells could get reverted to their PnP versions? (links below)
It would be nice for a Wizard/Sorcerer/Druid to be able to protect their allies from their spells. The NWN2 Protection from Energy can protect against ~1.5 Firebursts (pretty weaksauce), whereas in PnP it can absorb 50-120 damage (2-5 Firebursts) before failing. The caveat is that you have to pick one energy type, but that is a decent trade off in my opinion.
Resist energy is even better once you reach high level, and can protect them from most of your low level spells like Fireball.

Thanks for considering!~

Re: Protection from Energy / Resist Energy
Just wanted to point out that we already have a spell for elemental immunity where you need to choose the type (Energy Immunity lvl:5,6, or 7 depending). You can only have one of them up at a time. But you can have also Protection for Energy which would help (though a little) against other elements.
If Protection from Energy was an immunity as suggested until it absorbs X damage then you'd most likely have to choose between those spells and one spells is basically 9999 damage absorbed while the other would then collapse fairly soon.
