Lord Aaron Lyonaler uses his contacts to connect with representatives or brokers of the Masqurade Court Mercenary Company with an offer to hire the mercenary company to aid in the defense of Rivers End.

// If they accept the contract, please let me know the cost.
DM Mimic Note: In consideration of the uncertainty of the threat to be faced, the Masquerade Court finds 5 of its mercenaries willing to take the risk for a payment of 10,000 gold each (50K total). Please confirm if Aaron agrees to the arrangement.

Far to the North, occupied with else, rumor at last reaches the sense of The Sundered* and what remnants exist of the Hunters of Vengeance*.

Their numbers are few, their resources humble, tasked elsewise as duty directs. Nevertheless, a small contingency of supplies taking the form of tools forged for war are thusly spared and sent. With no wagon guaranteed to make good the travel time between, these armaments are collect personally and delivered directly to known figureheads.

Apart, the efforts of the wild, maiden of one, are cast in lot with the Enclave, green.

*Post on behalf thereof, as permit.
DM Mimic Note: The armaments dispatched by the Sunderers and what remains of the Hunters of Vengeance bolster the supply of the town's armory!

// I believe I have responded to everyone who has posted in this thread that was not a placeholder. If my note in your post is orange, your contributions have updated the Military Power table on the original post. If my note in your post is yellow, I need further clarification, confirmation, or other information from you before I can determine how much additional military power is added to the defense of River's End. Please check your posts and if you have a yellow comment from me, please quote your post and make a new reply for me to check!

For those of you who have posted placeholders, it would help me greatly if - rather than updating your original post - if you could just create a new post with your intended actions. That way I don't have to go back and check the entire thread to see who has updated their post, I can just look at the new ones. Really appreciate everyone's cooperation and thank you very much for your interest in the plot! :D

Silian Gein promises to bring the Phoenix Company to help in defense of the town, though part of Baldur's Gate, the Company comes on it's own interests of fighting the Black Sun cult.
Silian also makes it known that he needs word with bards and those with some musical and magical item use skill.
He doesn't reveal directly what the reason is, but suggests it may help the defense of River's End.
Silian spreads too that he can be found at the Phoenix Company lodge easily or by letter.

Defence of Rivers End

With news of the attack having reached Vaelthar Tel’quorin, he sought to bolster and improve the defences of River's End. Coordinating his efforts with the Magi, and other adventures he repeatedly utilised the Wall of Stone spell to erect permanent stone defences to protect the settlement, and then refined them into true ramparts and towers with the use of Stone Shape.

He remained within Rivers End until the battle, where he would assist in defending the settlement.

The Knight-lord agrees to the contract with the five willing, as well as includes an addendum into it offering additional 2000 gold for hazard pay (60000 total). This additional pay is made known to the Company, should any additional mercenary members wish to reconsider joining in the contract.

With their proximity to Rivers End and with his position in both the Order of the Red Falcons/the Red Fellowship and the as a Senior Knight within the Radiant Heart, Lord Lyonaler reaches out to both the Prelates of the Baldurian Chapter of the Radiant Heart and to Lady Bloodhawk regarding the need to defend the town.

While not a member of the temple of Tempus (directly), a call goes out for the need of warriors to defend the town and region.

An offer to pay the organizations restitution for expenses incurred for this endevor is also made.

// Aaron is more an honorary member of the RH at this point, but still holds a position of honor in the Order. He has met Lady Bloodhawk several times and is a known member of the church of the RK. He is not a member of Tempus' church but is well known to them.

Sorry for so many posts. Tried to combine these to not flood the thread.

In communication via Sending with Sierra the Red, the tiefling Szarilana continued her urging for the Liberation Front to create new wards and strengthen the old - for both their tower as well as the town itself. While the focus of her urging was for the warding against Scrying, protecting wooden buildings against the element of Fire and the teleportation of hostile or unknown forces, so too did she suggest that a portal could be made within the tower to serve as an evacuation-point should the worst case scenario occur.

Almost literally putting her money where her mouth was, the tiefling offered a sum of two million gold for which to purchase necessary reagents for the town's protection.

Szarilana also urged to keep a close eye upon those with altered behaviours or unexplained absences among the nALF, warning of the perils of compromised members of their group possessing access to the likes of control rods or portal-access.

Taking a day's break from the growing of defences of River's end, Sordoc will return to Greenest to talk with the Rocky Creek Wagon stores about possible supplies of their infamous bee jars. He also gathers his stash of herbs and heads to the Alchemy labs of Baldur's Gate. After much experimenting in herbs and unguent that stink something fierce, Sordoc's latest experiments in herbal based scent bombs seem to have some results. After much bathing and securing of the scent devices, Sordoc will return to support the maintenance of the Briar wall.

The testing of the herbs and results... Now how badly did that alchemy lab get stunk out?

Somewhere at sunset around "Rivers End". A bunch of weasels gathered around a hooded figure.
Last whispered words – promise of food were made. More food. Exquisite food. FOOD!

Then last squeaks echoed in the upcoming night, before the little ones were heading out into the dark below...

...and finally coming back.

Winged priestess also summons few ice elementals to reinforce defence and offers specific berries to people she trust, claiming that eating them protects from Divine Conversion.
DM Mimic Note: Before the Town Council accepts the Storm Sister's aid, they will verify if it comes with any expectations of payment or other consideration first. Please confirm!
Surprisingly, Ontelima requires no payment for participation in River's End defence. It seems she cares more about defeating Black Sun cultists than defending village itself.
