*A nervous fire genasi in a brown robe and hood, decorated with branches that look like antlers, can be seen checking over a few locations in the harbor district. Notably, they are buildings that are either run down or otherwise appear to not currently be in use. Those who pay attention to such things might see that he is sticking to very specific paths throughout the district, to avoid getting lost in this unfamiliar part of the city, even if it takes him much longer to get from place to place that way.
If asked what he's doing, he claims to be looking for a good place to hopefully open up some sort of soup kitchen/housing for those in need, with help from a friend who informed him on how to actually go about doing that.*

The first few attempts are met with confusion and rejection- the hardy dockworkers don't trust strange, sunite magic that creates an opulent and rich feast fit for nobles. After a few days some more hunger-driven fishermen decide to partake in it and report to feel "Like I've never destroyed my liver with whiskey!" So far, though, only some fishermen crew accept her feast fit for heroes.

Tongues are wagging across the taverns in Harbour that the High Lady is "doing it only for a show like all sunites do".
Despite the rumors and waggling tongues, the Heartwarder continues to make her presence on the docks, and repeats the feast for all who would partake in it, hoping that no food would be wasted. Those that do partake and enjoy the restorative and moral boosting feast, she asks them to spread the word as far as they can, to get more to participate until the table is full each morning. Outside of the created feast, she also brings with her each morning a crate of fresh baked bread, and pastry confections that steam in the brisk morning air, she leaves the crate in the docks after the feast concludes, for any to come and claim it.
The Heartwarder makes ready one last feast at the docks in the morning. For those that attend, she makes it known it will be her last meal of the gods provided to those on the docks, however, that any in need that make it known to the Halls or arrives in the temple will never be turned away, and a meal provided at no cost to any that to not bare a title. If asked if the rumors or lack there of attendance at the feasts is the cause, she simply gives a somber look of defeat, with a small nod.

Baldur's Gate faces a new kind of an issue, all of a sudden. Those that haven't been keeping watch on the matters of trade are shocked to notice that all prices for various materials or products have dramatically risen or dropped abysmally low. Word spreads through the city that it's the effect of the wars and threats that Baldur's Gate had been facing lately, from the outside as well as from the inside. Across the Wide and other places where traders dwell, it's said that fewer and fewer merchants are deciding to make their travel to Baldur's Gate due to a much-heightened threat to people's lives.

This comes as a hit to the Balduran economy, as several shops and peddling merchants - smaller businesses in other words - face what may just be the end of their existence in Baldur's Gate. While the city still makes vast amounts of coin thanks to the mercenary work of the Flaming Fist, many citizens worry that they'll soon be going out of jobs and lose the sources of income for their families.

In other words, the atmosphere in Baldur's Gate had worsened even more.
  • Prices for food are at an all-time high due to contaminated wells, long winter and a particularly harsh storm earlier this year that has destroyed several barns.
Fliers appear throughout the Gate, but mainly center on the Docks and Eastern districts, and even out to the farmlands.
Citizens of the Gate,

Firstly, Know that I humbly and profusely apologize for my inconsiderate actions on the docks, offering food and divine blessings when they were not asked for. My hope was to provide a bolstering meal to those that are working harder then ever to bring in fish and large catches to aid in our city's needs. I should have approached, I should have asked, instead I assumed. I assumed that any would accept a blessing from the goodly gods of the Halls. As someone who continually has to remind me, "you cannot force someone to like you." While this was never my intention, this is how it was perceived. Instead now, my blessings will only be offered to those whom ask, and make their needs known. That leads to my next point.

Secondly, I have failed to listen to what was needed, many of your concerns over food, is also your water and contaminated wells. Within the Halls, Myself, and my Eldathian clergy can come and see to your wells, purify them, check them, and see that they will be clean and healthy for you to drink from. All I ask is that you let it known to me, and we will come, for no price, but donations always welcome. If you are not comfortable coming to the Halls, I understand, but go to your local clergy, and they also possess the ability to purify water at its source and see it safe to use once again. Everyone deserves to know they can get fresh and clean water from their local source. If you still have concerns over your water, I can produce three barrels of drinking water daily, for those whom make themselves known.

Lastly, I have received a donation of two wagon fulls of food for the city. This equated out to about thirty barrels of various salted meats, fifty sacks of wheat, fifty sacs of corn, forty bushels of various vegetables. I again offer these, in donation to any whom make themselves known to be in need, and it will be given freely, without cost. If none make claim for the need in three days time, I will see it to the Wide, and local grocers throughout the city, to be sold at market. I will not ask a price from the merchants, to not allow it to go to waste. Also included are several dozen wolf hides, that need work at a tanner to be made into jackets, cloaks, and blankets as needed. If you are in need of a warm blanket, jacket, or cloak, make yourself known, and I will ensure you receive one at no cost. anything left over will be donated to the Temple of Ilmater, to see to distribution late into the winter as needed.

The Halls of Inner Light will always remain open to any who come in need you will always be welcome at the Halls of Inner Light.

Heartwarder Alyssia Leonhart
Sworn citizen of Duchess Liia
High Lady of the Halls of Inner Light.

Storm brews on the ocean off the coast of Candlekeep, bringing with it strong wind and heavy rain, the angry ocean waves often illuminated by lightning. A day to stay inside, many would think. Though those who stay outside their warm and dry home's walls, if they look to the ocean's horizon, can swear they see rapid movement in the waves. Hopefully soon this storm shall pass.

Overhearing the rumours of a shipwreck within sight of Candlekeep, curiosity got the better of Ophelia. The stretch of beach was littered with scrap and driftwood; she found no sign of survivors, however, uncovered some cargo that had survived the storm. She's managed to recover it and keeps it in the custody of the Whitewood Vanguard.

Late into the night, a pair of tieflings were spotted rushing through the east gate district toward the farmlands, there the pair had a short argument then one of the pair made her way into the cornfields and was later spotted heading north with another individual. In said fields the bodies of vampire spawn and farmers alike were found; the farmers died gruesome deaths while each of the spawn were put to the sword. Again the tieflings would be spotted in Soubar, asking questions pertaining to a Lord De Vries. The pair then headed further north before returning empty-handed.

Making their way back to the gate one of the pair, a young paladin of Sune identified as Yashe would attempt to report the incident to the Fist in detail.

Throughout the day, various folks of background and garb bearing silver badges start pasting and nailing up posters. They don't stick around long after, but they do check back from time to time to replace those inevitably lost, stolen, or torn away. As for the poster, well, it speaks for itself:

A large man clad in Purple painted full plate and a rich crimson cloak is seen around the East Gate, The Wide and the Palace District making inquiries into known Anarchists and Seditionists. He is polite and pays well for information. They say he speaks with a distinct Waterdeep accent.

He is also seen posting on the boards near the Elfsong Tavern and making introductions to smaller noble houses as a Scion of Siamorphe.

An iron clad man with silver hair and beard would be seen taking one poster, expecting all to well that one may be replaced. And would fold it neatly in a organized fashion. Then tuck it away, grumbling to himself as he walks on.

In the early morning hours of 4 Nightal just before sunrise, a man with green and red hair accompanied by a brunette woman approach the guard outside the Radiant Heart chapterhouse. A horse with no bit in its mouth is with them, pulling a cart that has a blanket over it. After some quiet words with the guard, the horse is unhitched from the wagon, and sent off on its own. Soon after, the man and woman leave the cart in the care of the Radiant Heart guard, with instructions to let Sean Asen know that what had been promised was delivered.

The heavy gates of the Radiant Heart’s Keep opened and out stepped out a black cloaked and hooded figure. The cloak bearing the ornate embroidered Radiant Heart Sigil, a few steps out while a Merchant Wagon that was bringing in hay to city stables blocking the view the figure disappeared from sight. the Man at Arms closed the heavy gates and resumed his gate sentry duties.

The Inquisition continued as the Scion of Siamorphe continued to gather information on the Seditionists. While in the comfort of his well furnished room at an inn at the Baldur’s Gate Palace District. He began to write in his findings from interviews and gathering a list of Seditionists, their accomplices, known associates and places they frequent.

Seemed the Inquisitor was mostly interested in as he described a thuggish Half Monster Brute and a former Black Network member, possibly still an agent.

A small group of poor and disgruntled citizens perhaps with agitators in their number watch a procession of valuable wagons deliver the fallen soldiers of the Flaming Fist back to their keep. "Never saw them 'ungry in life." shouts one. "No meanwhile we have week old soup courtesy of some other rich un who needs a guard of ten to serve it!" The crowd mutters and settles before another well informed agitator adds a shout "The food has all been left at Cloakwood while this parade runs by." a small silence and another retorts. " Give em a bigby that's what we do round ere' Some laughter follows, and then. "Better scatter people before they set the shadowy dogs on us, taking names and kicking well worn rags." declares a new voice. The crowd mutters and moans it's way back to business.

The Stoic Inquisitor watched as the Peasant instigators gathered to spread anarchy and chaos. His square jaw clenched as he watched with hate filled eyes at this seditious heresy being spread by agents of chaos and anarchy. He watched to see if the Agents of the Ruling Class, would put boots to throats. He watched the crowd looking for the ever timeless elven shrewd conspirators against the Devine right of human rule. Sending their half brute monsters to do their bidding as they hid in their secret villages or atop the throne room of Tyrant’s hive of Darkhold.

He observed and prepared his report. The threat to Baldur’s Gate was the schemes of the other races.

While those of the Flaming Fist were busy being venerated an Elf clad in Mithral made his way through the streets of Baldurs Gate with barrels of food in tow. Offering nods and sympathetic smiles to everyone he passes. No doubt the food retrieved from Cloakwood that was lost as priorities were on a corpse. Yet this Elfs visits with similar barrels and donations to the Temple of Ilmater would be a common sight at this point.

Perhaps it is a cruel irony that food is brought in by an outsider to the Gate, and one that makes no effort to hide his complete and utter disdain towards the Fist. Especially over their reneging of a promise with the Druids. Though perhaps his disgust towards the recent mauling of innocent tieflings is the only thing he speaks worse of. Should anyone have ever listened.

It wasn't merely the ambience of the blustery, chilling rain that pelted his head and shoulders; it was the knowledge of what he wracked his mind to assume, that made him cold.

If this "Rennek" had sanctioned the lynching of a tiefling to sway the tune the people of the city sang, it was paramount to draw these agents out as soon as possible - or, at least, find a trail leading to them. And, ultimately, to "Rennek" themselves.

Conventional scouting and scrounging had yet to bear any real fruit. Rhaeg hoped this controversy would, though, as he took in a deep breath to offer a gravelly sermon in the miserable rain, to perhaps a dozen-and-a-half spectators.

Rhaeg wrote:Wanted t'thank you all for takin' th' time t'hear me out again.

I wanted t'talk about a recent killing. They were a tiefling. I don't personally know much more'n that, but I'm assuming there was a reason behind killin' them beyond them havin' horns and unclean blood.

Lemme be clear about where I stand on this. I have unclean blood, plain for all t'see. I don't attempt t'hide what was forced upon me. But lemme ask you this, and perhaps you can consider askin' your folks similar.

Did you choose your parents?

Did you choose your circumstances?

Did you choose whether or not t'be born aristocratic?

If you can answer "yes" t'all this, then count yourself far, far luckier than th'rest've us. I'm genuinely envious.

I've met saintly kobolds and tieflings, and met some moronic elves and wizards. There are exceptions to th'standard assumptions one can make about how someone looks, but you can only know that for certain if you get to know th'person.

I'm not telling you to invite goblins and Drow over to your dinner tables. I'm telling you that if we want t'build a better kind of society, we have to be better ourselves. We can do it... but you and I have to understand that we may have a lot more in common with a poor member of this city than a fellow human separated by wealth and privilege.

So let me be clear; I do NOT condone lynching tieflings, half-orcs, elves, or anyone else in the streets; and I invite anyone who has a problem with that to add me to their hit list.

It was less important, this time, how his message might be received by the people of the city at large.

This time, the intention was to be added to Rennek's own list - and to work backwards from there.
