Those active in Greenest or paying attention to the company may note the following:
- Jackard may have been seen in meetings with a small handful of men over the last tenday in Greenest. Two of the few may stand out - an older man, wearing robes with the outward appearance of a mage of some years, and a younger man with the appearance of a well-traveled man of arms. The latter may have been witnessed leaving the inn wearing a jeweled brooch. It bore the symbol of Rocky Creek, a trout crossed a stack of coins.
- Not quite a public call to audition, agents of Rocky Creek seem to be making inquiries into musicians and their willingness to travel to Greenest to perform. A celebration of sorts is being tentatively planned, and options are being considered. ((((///If you play a musician and would like to have heard this rumor, feel free! Reach out IC by letter or in person, or via forums throgh RP or letter sent in PM.. whatever you'd like))))

It seems the trade in fish has been progressing, but perhaps not in the quantities needed. Jackard can be seen tending to the various signs and notices, and spreading word amongst the community of fisherfolk that in addition to the three species mentioned in their notice, that fish are being bought at above their market rates across the board.
It remains to be seen how this particular endeavor will pan out.

Ads are placed at various hubs of business, especially near fresh water fishing markets. The Wide in Baldur's Gate, Ulgoth's Beard, Greenest, and Beregost, among others.
These prices are rumored to be temporary at best, and sellers should contact Rocky Creek as soon as possible.

As night settled upon Greenest, four men settled at the fire. After a long discussion, much laughter, and some rousing music, Rocky Creek Trade Company had expanded to include a new man - Bryce Sawyer.

Having now become a somewhat familiar presence in the settlement of Greenest given his unusual planar nature, the ever-itinerant genasi known as Malakai of the winds, would have embarked on a several successful trips to the city of Elturel during the crisp winter months in his new role of Caravan Master for the Rocky Creek Trade Company.
Though his rustic retinue of volunteers sourced from Greenest might appear rather unseasoned in their capacity as guards, each would be of robust Chondathan stock, hard-working folk eager to learn what they can from the adventurer.
Impressed by his knowledge of the trade-routes and various locales of the Hartlands, the team would be entertained by Malakai's various anecdotes on the road regarding his adventures to date. His matter-of-fact claims regarding his prowess as a swordsman would remain unproven for now based on a fortuitous lack of danger encountered so far upon the trailways.
The large wagon would return to Greenest each time laden with leather apparel and some food supplies (cheeses & dried meats) as intended having suffered no mishaps or delays thus far in the form of fighting, obstacles on the road or bad weather.
Given the reports coming out of Triel's beleaguered war camp of roving bands of hob-goblin marauders and vicious spiders the size of horses, the guards of the Elturel route would seem relieved and in good spirits raising toasts in the tap-house to both Lady Luck and Malakai for leading them there and back safely.
Though his confidence would not be in question, Malakai's apparent lack of concern regarding any further trouble they might eventually encounter might be considered a touch glib dependent on whom you ask around Orniff's tavern in the evening hours.

Rocky Creek is said to have invested in a lone Ilmatari, on a mission they've funded to gather local healing supplies, and with them and other goods as needed, tend to the people of Greenest as he is able. His goal is to find and alleviate any suffering, and support the people however may be needed.
The man's identity is shared with the employees of the company, and they are asked to aid him if they see him in need, but if they do so to keep an accounting of any expenditures and submit them to Jackard or Solomon.

Solomon and Jackard may have been witnessed in a lively discussion and negotiation with the renowned baker and chef, Miss Furuki of the Breadflower Bakery, inside The Lucky Coin, the tavern located within Hammer Hall.
One would need be very close to hear the details, but it is said that Jackard left for a back office a few times, only to return with freshly inked parchments. In the end, all parties seemed satisfied and happy as they left.

Rumors of further activity around Hammer Hall may spread within Greenest or those connected there in some manner. A meeting between Alyssia Leonhart, High Lady of the Halls of Inner Light, and the men of Rocky Creek was held in private in the last few days. Whether she was being entertained for business or pleasure is uncertain.

Between their trips out to Elturel, Malakai has been seen training his guards outside Rocky Creek's main headquarters during the morning hours with the use of a rapier. With the sessions ran every other day, he'd be drilling them for about ninety minutes to two hours four to five days of every tenday using blunted training swords he'd have purchased for them.
Though fairly effective in teaching the guards various lessons, the genasi might seem slightly impatient at the speed of their development. He would seem impressed at their level of physical conditioning and decent stamina as rural inhabitants of Greenest however.
The thrust of his lessons could be broken down like so into the following areas:
• Foot work to support simple attacks and defence; distance awareness and stance.
• Hitting skills, simple attacks and proper weapon grip.
• Simple defence and direct ripostes.
• Concept of priority, attack and defence.
A couple of his lessons have introduced more advanced concepts such as:
• Rhythm - or rather, the lack of it. Avoiding predictable patterns an opponent can exploit.
• Defence against multiple opponents.
• Tactics against polearms and shields.
Out of his four pupils, the most naturally talented would be Shandri Tallstag, the first to volunteer as a guard for the Elturel route and the only woman too. Serious minded and a slight tomboy of twenty three years, the former muleskinner and courier previously worked in the outskirts of Nashkel. Shandri seems eager to prove herself and is in slight awe of Malakai given his unusual ancestry and adventuring background - like Randal, she has serious aspirations to follow in his footsteps and would be seen actively practicing the rapier techniques in her free-time.
Vesperen Evenwood is a half-elf of forty eight years and experience working as a fletcher near Berdusk. Vesperen is somewhat withdrawn but very level headed. He enjoys working with horses and is the best rider of all the guards working for Malakai. He is quick to understand concepts of the genasi's lessons having some experience from being taught swordplay by his elven mother in his youth - if not for the half-elf, Dorn might have given up long ago thanks to Vesperen's ability to more patiently break down things Malakai poorly explained the first time.
The third best would be Randal Buckman, a former cooper of twenty five years from Nashkel. Randal is something of a light-hearted joker who always dreamt of becoming an adventurer like Malakai though was persuaded into not doing so by his family and relatives much to his own regret. In joining the Elturel route he hopes to gain some potential exposure to the adventuring lifestyle through his work as a guard - Malakai has perhaps not done well to temper Randal's imagination, subtly enjoying the slight level of idol worship the younger man pays him.
Dorn Goodmead was born in the farmlands outside Baldur's Gate and is hard-working, no-nonsense and straightforward to the point of being blunt, having not received much education growing up. He is thirty six years old, with a background as a plowman and later as a reeve with a useful knowledge of the surrounding areas. Possessing well above average strength and the best physical conditioning of all the guards working for Malakai, he is perhaps a bit too tall and lumbering to readily grasp the graceful fighting style and occasionally irritated with the genasi's quick approach to teaching.
The last of Malakai's guards wouldn't even bother to turn up to the sword lessons. Eldon Mosshand, a somewhat grizzled lightfoot halfling of sixty four years from the outskirts of Scornubel with an exceedingly dry sense of humour. Eldon claims to have assisted the Hellriders of Elturel during the devil wars in in the role of an already experienced scout and warslinger. With a range of wilderness survival skills superior to Malakai himself, the halfling seems content to spend the caravan journeys asleep in the back of the wagon with his mastiff companion, Barker.

A cart of five ale kegs was recently delivered to Hammer Hall, home of Rocky Creek, in Greenest. This alone isn't an uncommon occurrence. The excitement for this particular delivery, however, may have been noted as a bit more than usual. Ushered in with a bit of fanfare unassociated with such a mundane occurrence, the kegs were brought inside with smiles all around, and quickly moved further into the building.

The daily fare and rations provided to those in the employ of the Rocky Creek company would be noticed to be of substantial quality and a mark well above the typical trail food they might have been used to a month ago. Each departing patrol or agent would find themselves receiving a pack of hearty and savory trail-food to last them many days. Despite using apparently the same ingredients and price, each dish on the Lucky Coin's main menu receives tweaks and permutations that embolden their flavor, fullness, and nutrition.
The instigator of this change appears to occupy much of her time in the kitchen, as might be expected, but is often seen outside Hammer Hall to collect ingredients. In the early mornings, the Eastern woman can be noted to accompany hunters and trappers in the first snares of the day, bearing no weapons herself but clearly of enough skill to earn at least grudging respect for the craft. In the early afternoons, she visits with local farmers to negotiate for produce and livestock, negotiating a fair trade on what might be nominally considered their least merchantable crops.
Within the Lucky Coin, she would endeavor to greet each customer, welcoming them with a warm demeanor and an equally comforting meal. Should it be requested, there is never an issue converting a particular meal for the road, and departing guests receive a particularly flowery farewell from the sanguine culinarian.

Signs are posted at Hammer Hall in Greenest, at each caravan stop, the Rocky Creek Wainwright in the farmlands outside of Baldur's Gate, nearly friendly merchants in the Wide, as well as public noticeboard in the Friendly Arm Inn.
Jackard Marks is taking meeting with those that wish to work toward this supply.
