Was not sure what was happening, thought it was some kind of glitch. Cool feature though.

DM side, I did find it helped to see how players were doing, if they needed more time to form a reply or if they were stuck. I think this will be beneficial in gauging progress in events to be more fluid.

I hate this new feature.

There should be an option to disable or enable it, as is customary with such things. Skype lets you choose, for instace. If it's possible to disable the dots, I haven't found the way to do it yet.

Personally, I neither care to let others know when I'm typing nor, especially, to see the three-dot eyesore when they are typing.

I'd like to express my deepest thanks to whoever implemented the feature. I love it. Only thing that somewhat bothers me is the fact that even replying to whispers or private tells triggers it, alas, I get why it'd be a bother fixing that (if not impossible!).

In any case, a thousand thanks. I love it.

I find it useful, it lets me see when someone has went AFK on me or is simply not a fast typer. Way too many people love standing around without the AFK sign on, this at least helps show those who just take their time responding.

However, an option to disable for screenshots might be neat.

Made an update to these speech dots.

- Your dots will no longer show up if you are typing any command that begins with a slash (/) or an exclamation point (!)
- There is now an option to toggle your own dots on or off permanently by clicking the "B" button on the chat window (default: ON)

This is basically all I can do to this system. There's no physical way for me to make a toggle that turns the dots off from being seen at all, for the purposes of screenshots or otherwise. They will appear in your screenshots just like any spell VFX (as that's literally what they are, a certain VFX applied to the player object as long as they're typing).

Hopefully these QoL changes are enough to make it acceptable to everyone! Seems like most of the feedback has been positive. I know a couple of you hate the concept of them or hate how they clutter up your screenshots, but I've come to believe based on the feedback overall that the positives outweigh the negatives, especially now that it will ignore tells.

I like the dots quite a lot. To me it's always a bit awkward if you accidentally cross conversation topics due to type lag. Also makes large group conversations a bit more manageable because you see who is going to say anything in the next few seconds. Unconditional thumbs up from me!

Even though they're VFX, do they use a dot texture?
I personally really like the feature but if it's just a img file, a simple alpha texture can be made to put in people's override. They wouldn't have to see it then.
