Question: would it be possible to allow a Warlock to use a higher-up Invocation slot to take a lower Invocation SLA? Like if you had a "spare" Greater slot, you could take a Least or Lesser invocation instead?

If possible, is that overpower?

Being able to pick up a lesser invocation in place of a greater one would be awesome. I have much harder competition between lessers, and struggle to find greaters I actually want to take.

This might be a bit more than Rhi can hack together without engine-side support... which doesn't really exist. (IIRC, Sorcerers are supposed to be able to do that too in PnP? Or am I confusing it with the general ability of all spellcasters to slot low-level spells in high-level slots?)

That is a bit beyond what we can do, yes. Extra Invocations will have to suffice for getting more of the invocations of the levels you want to get.

If it is possible to create new invocations for the 4 Warlock SLA tiers, then is it not possible to create a “call” or “hook” reference to existing SLAs on another tier?

Not without creating multiple duplicates of every single spell. Which, I mean, it's possible. But not in the cards for the current update, at least. Maybe in the future.

There are 55 Warlock Invocations. 14 are Dark. That would make 41 multiples to make, and where a lower tier can only be taken by/on the tier directly above.

If this is a major copy/paste and text correction job, I am willing to help with that work. I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Not if Lesser slots can only take Least, Greater only Lesser, and Dark only Greater.

Being a feat choice? Probably the latter.

I wouldn't put it past Rhifox to implement support for swapping Extra Invocations if someone talked her into it, but there's definitely no current implementation for anything like that.

Quick bump to this post. NH 100% RCRs will become officially unavailable come March 1st (This next tuesday). If you've been putting it off, do understand that after that date you'll not be entitled to the RCR, so if you intend to take it, do so within the next couple of days!

If you're unsure how to contact a DM regarding it, the easiest way is to find one online and ask them! (can use the "/d MESSAGE" to speak directly with DMs, if there's one online). Tomorrow (sunday) is a good bet that there'll be some DMs online.

I'll be out of town the next few days up until the night of March 1st, so in the early morning (EST) of March 2nd I'll be online just to handle any last RCRs, will stay online until about 11 EST.
