today i talked to joan. she wanting to knowing more about my people and i wanting to know more about her.

joan sailed on ship that is attaqed by pirates. pirates are weresharks; halv human-shape and halv sharq. she falled from ship into the sea and holded onto floating barrel. then ships is hit'ed by litening and blowed up! other ship finded her on the sea and bringed her to land. maybe other pirates? she seem not wanting to talk about it. but later she eskaped them and traveled to baldur's gate. joan is strong soldier now for the kandlekeep fort.

i am not the only person from ship attaqed and sinked by pirates, float on sea, then finded by other ship and saved. it is good to have history sim'lar to other persons here. it kause me feel not all alone.

today joan and seadin (human male fiter) helped me komplete big danger job for mage wanting wyvern egg. i asked them where to find wyvern egg. they showed me and proteqted me from wyvern big danger.

wyvern is very big lizard kreature (small dragon?) on lanD south from town bereghost. we fited many wyverns. joan and seadin are both strong viters. i finded egg. joan leaved us at kandelkeep.

seadin gived me flowers to wear on my helmet. i sure looq silly wearing my armor, bow, axe and flowers in my helmet.

seadin walked with me baq to sity balders gate. i traded the egg to the mage for qoins. it is kold in sity baldurs gate. i need many qoins to buy warm kloqe.

seadin sayed we need to drinq to our viqtory so we sit'ed at the blade and stars inn. he buyed us food and ale. i am enjoying our time together then he asked me if he will share my bed to keep me warm. i am sertain he is haveing more ideas than only keep me warm. i telled him he will need give me more ale, food, and flowers to share my bed.

merielle's home is the ilmater temple. she haveing many vriends to help with her work there. ilmater temple seem to be plase for poor persons and children withnot mother and father to eat and sleep. tessian (smart human male) is ovten at the temple. he and merielle seem to be klose vriend.

joan is fine. i see her near all days here at kandlekeep. she is some person to talk with. many monks do not seem to want to talk. at least not with me. maybe when i earn seeker rank they will more respekt me?

today i singed song at the white mask stage in baldurs gate. many persons from the sity see'ed me. i singed my song about my axe. i rited it on my ship for my krew to honor they teaching me to be a strong sailor. fortunate i am remembering the song and rited it again. my song is part of kontest and i win'ed 1000 koins.

my kommon teacher helped me translate it from my language into kommon ryming words. he smiled one or two times. they are so tite here!

tessian is helping me to talk kommon language better. he is teaching me silly song with divikult words and sounds. we teached me the song akross many yesterdays. today we komplete it and i rite it here:

day 42 - i know it is out-of-order. i need to replase my book kover.

two yesterdays, emrys walked with me bak to kandlekeep after i singed at the stage. we talked about the many gods.

he follows rillifane, elv god of nature. elrith, elv female, is very near friend to emrys and teached him about rillifane. when we talked about elrigh, i do not beleve they are mates but i am sertain she is important for him. i like her also.

emrys komed to kandlekeep again today and i drawed him here.

we shared wine and talked about his past. he telled me sad story about his family. i will note rite the komplete story to keep their dishonor safe inside my mind.

10 yesteryears ago, his parents want to dishonor his sister. but he taked her plase. emrys' parents kursed him with aznik. soon after, the village people learned about the parents plans, kaptured them and his sister, then killed them all. but they do not kaptured emrys.

some near yesterday, elrith helped emrys break the kurse. now i understand why elrith is very important to emrys.

i rited this message to record about me and where i traveled from.
my full name is valqis sanejmeh dauter of martoq and ghilqa.
i am 20 years old. my birthday is day 90, of my homeland's year 927.
i have two sisters and one brother. their names are mara, q'ehleyr, and qoloth.
my father owns a large land area on the north side of the our island.
it is a warm location by the sea. the islands have one big fiery mountain.
around one hundred islands are near our island.
together the islands are named qarnaq. star named siq is above koordinates for day one: 89.2 and 10.2.
i sailed on our ship named spiked fist.
16 krew. day 264, our kalendar year 947.
our mission is to explore the sea then record facts and report facts.
we sailed east for 30 days akross the sea.
we finded the lantan islands and traded with the short people (gomes).
we sailed north to explore moonshea islands.
but, after two days our ship was attaked.
our ship and the enemy ship are both destroyed in honorable kombat.
i am the only living krew. merchant ship finded me on the trakless sea.
the ship leaved me at the sity of baldurs gate.
i am alone. i need to komplete my ship's mission. how?

day 51 (alturiak 9 on kandar of harptos)

many yesterdays, billy, merielle's orfan child leaved the temple into the forest. merielle blamed herself but billy leaved on his own choise. many persons searched for the boy. i searched for the boy myself many times.

today, i finded child foot marks on the beach south from kandlekeep. i followed the traks and finded the boy hiding in large bush. he telled me he is wanting to learn to survive in the forest and learn to fite so he kan defend merielle and her ilmater temple. i telled the boy he kannot teach himself all he will need to learn. merielle is also near sik with worry. billy need to kome with me bak to kandlekeep where it is more save.

we begin walking and rai, elv female, finded us and telled the boy to kome with her. she also telled billy not to trust me. why do she qestion my honor? we argue then billy run'ed away from us toward kandlekeep. fortunate for us, merielle and other persons are near the road to kandlekeep. soon, many bhaal kultist and devil kreature attaked us. i never see'ed something so ... evil ... in all my live. we defeated them in honorable kombat.

billy is now safe with merielle. but i do not feel the bhaal kultist konsider this battle komplete.

seadin komed to kandlekeep today. he buyed us ales and we sit'ed at the fireplace at the inn and talked.

he telled me story about how he saved volomirror and defeated ork demon kreature in honorable kombat.

hearing about volomirror is big surprise to me. only yesterday i talked to him about his family. now seadin telled me volomirror will sure to be dead if he not finded him and killed the ork demon kreature.

seadin's story sertain remind me how i need to be kareful when i search the forest. there are big dangers all around us. always take one friend if i travel away from the main roads.

now, i share ale with a diferent danger. seadin. he is kommon looking male but his atkions some how kause fire to burn in my blood. my mother telled me to be kareful near males sim'lar to seadin. they kause the fire to spread to other parts of me. out of kontrol.

so, we sit and talk and drink. the fire under my kontrol. i also drawed seadin.


tonite seadin telled more about his ideas and what he will fite for - himself and his friends. he do not have house or family to konsern himself with their honor. he kontrol himself. his duty is to himself. himself kome first. not his house. this is new ideas for me.

i try to explain how in my home islands my choises are my houses choises. i do my duty. every important choise for me was maked by my father and mother. i learned from my mother how to guide their choises to something more near what i want for me (why i studyed the sky). but final choises for me are by my house.

Seadin telled me, "what is important is doing whatever makes you happy."

i never thinked before about duty as something to kause me to bekome happy.

emrys komed to kandlekeep today for me. me. i buyed us stew and ale and we sit'ed by the fireplase. same place again. 2 nites. 2 diferent males.

emrys asked how i am likeing my work at kandlekeep. i tell him it is qiet. sometimes i feel alone bekause the monks do not talk to me. joan talk to me. but few other persons that work at kandlekeep talk about anything but books.

i know what it is to be alone. on the sea. only me floating on breaked ship parts. sea. sky. me. everything i ever knowed sinked under the waves. that is true alone. but i knowed i am alone.

this is diferent. people are around me. i remind myself i choised to join kandlekeep. my choise. maybe my first important choise for me, by me, in all of my live. i need to be part of something more big than only me. exaktly what seadin do not want for himself. so here i am. and i am alone. or maybe bet'r idea is i do not feel important here. how kan i bekome important again?

i feel bad for emrys that i tell him all about my problems. why do my emotions pour out from me? i do not beleve he komed here to listen to me dishonor myself with all of my weak ideas about me. but, i look at emrys. he is very pretty male and easy for my eyes to see. he kan be male my mother telled me i need to honor our house. fokus valqis!

vladimire is human male soldier very big and strong. he taked me west into the kloakwood forest where we fited big spiders. fortunate for me, i am able to keep him between me and the spiders. if not, i feel i will sure run'ed away. that memory is still with me ... and i am not ready to fase it. i am feeling kold down my bak.

vlad taked me into kave where we fited many minoturs. minoturs are sim'lar to kow animals but walk same as humans or elvs. they are big and strong but slow. we defeated many and finded some small treasure items. i bekomed lost in the kaves. no sky. no stars. no sun or moon. vlad knowed the path bak outside.

next we returned to beregost and selled minotur horns for many koins. vlad asked me to sing my axe song. he did not see me perform it yestermonth. the taven haved other persons there and the bartended telled me i kan perform. so i singed my axe song again for them.

vlad seem enjoyed my song and danse. he surprised me and kissed my cheek. i feeled him pull at my heart, but i kannot understand why.

yesterday begin'ed sim'lar to any other day. qiet monks move about kandlekeep. i find books and move books about the library. read. walk. but i need to rite about my yesterday.

the qiet all end when emrys and vlad run'ed into the inn near together. both breathed deep and seem to have dang'r following them. both want to tell me something.

emrys is one ... first ... first to ask me so we walk to oghma temple for qiet private talk. he telled me story about drow, the flaming fist, and how it konserned him and other persons. he mite be in dang'r from the flaming fist. and bekause we are friends, i also mite kan be in dang'r from them.

then he telled me words that rited into my mind.

then my mind kalled out to me. remember my song ... for him. remember my danse ... for him. remember his kiss ... for me.

how kan my heart be so kold to vladimire? my mind fill with memory from our time at the fire plase. it remind me of his fase. how his life seem to fall away from him as my words about emrys kut out his heart.

then i see his last gift. the small bag i leaved ... and forget'ed on the table. i open it. very pretty gem. shiney brite and wite as if star falled from the sky. vladimire do not earn what i do to him. he only follow his heart. and i turned him away....
