Tiefling haircuts - need horned variations.
Tieflings have at least 3 haircuts which are hornless. It would be nice to have horned variations of those, because the haircuts are nice, but their lack of horns is disappointing.
The horns can be copy-pasted from other models.

1. When?LISA100595 wrote:*spoiler* a new hair pack (including tiefling varieties) is come soon... very soon!
2. Does it have something similar to those (hornless) haircuts, but with horns? I'm talking about what appears to be PaulImposeur's haircuts adapted for tieflings.

No, it does not work that way. The hair/head model file(s) would need updating to put horns on them. Not sure why horns would be affected by hair, since horns should be attached-to/part-of the head model. Though maybe Obsidiots did not model them this way?NegInfinity wrote:Tieflings have at least 3 haircuts which are hornless. As to new hair styles, yes... they are coming. Humans, elves, halflings and other races who use any of these for their hair models will rejoice.

It absolutely DOES work this way, when you modify hair in 3d editor. You can copy-paste stuff from one model into another.Duster47 wrote: No, it does not work that way. The hair/head model file(s) would..
I could look into this myself, if someone throws at me actual models (or a quick way to extract them from nwn2) and a plugin for blender 3d.
3.5 tieflngs are not required to have horns and tails. You can always have different trait. There's no standard.joleda wrote:Outsiders that ignore their outsider heritage? How unique!
Extra fun when you know elven and people start mistaking you for a half-drow because of slightly pointed ears combined with eye/hair/skin colors. Whoops.

Exactly. You need non-NWN2 ToolSet software and expertise to do these changes. It is not something trivial as copy/paste a file into a HAK, while ensuring the result is actually BG-worthy.NegInfinity wrote:It absolutely DOES work this way, when you modify hair in 3d editor. FWIW, if the base model lacks horns, then you cannot create horns simply by re-skinning the model. The skin requires a frame to overlay.
If someone can find or create appropriate NWN2 compatible *mdb & associated *tga or *dds files, then share a link to the work. We can then consider adding it to BGTSCC.

Um, is there a some sort of misunderstanding or something?Duster47 wrote: Exactly. You need non-NWN2 ToolSet software and expertise to do these changes. It is not something trivial as copy/paste a file into a HAK, while ensuring the result is actually BG-worthy.
It is a trivial job for someone who is familiar with software. Whoever submitted hair before, is familiar with the software.
As I said, I abssolutely *could* do that myself in half an hour if someone threw a link that explains blender-based approach (namely -> import plugin, export plugin, integration into test/demo hak) to making haircuts at me, so I won't need to waste 3 days researching that stuff myself, because I have other stuff to do.
