2 Hander IPA Focus/Assistance

Unread post by SpoonDagger »

Heya folks,

Trying to make a 2 hander build where I focus on 2 main enemies(Thinking Undead and something else that's anti-nature, haven't decided) for max damage. Kind of a glass cannon,
but I'm ok with that, not planning on being a solo-stomper.

If anyone thinks I need to make some tweaks, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Improved favored enemy feat? And maybe outsiders as your 2nd focus.

Outsiders, I've heard that's a good favored enemy to have, but I forget why.

Demons, Devils, Daemons, etc... are all outsiders. I think some of the bosses on this servers are in the outsider group, hence you will be dealing more damage against some bosses.

But in general PvM, I would pick Giants, because those include Trolls, Ogres, and Giants, which are more than just numerous on this server.

Anyhow.... I did put this together a while back: http://nwn2db.com/build/?276996

It deals something like 71~ (Avarage hit), 59 (Minimum hit), 83 (Maximum hit) against Favored Enemies, of which you can have a total of 6. Thus you can cover Undead, Outsiders, etc... Not to mention that if those enemies are spellcasters - then you are also likely to disrupt their spellcasting.

It is a bit of a class cannon still though, and 'blooms' at level 30. But it is worth a look at least. You could lower your wisdom to 11 and make use of a +3 item.

Yeah, ditch Ranger. Unless you go Woot's way and get mostly Ranger.

For the sort of thing you're looking at I'd go something like F12/FB5/Ro3/DC10. It wouldn't be a monster, but it would be very capable against everything: http://nwn2db.com/build/?281929

PS Ranger doesn't have Tumble as a Class Skill on BGTSCC, so your build is not possible.

Actually, I would prefer a build like that over the more cookie cutter 'Fighter/Rogue/Frenzied Berserker/Weapon Master' simply because Divine Champion lets you have those extra bonus feats for epic feats in addition to the +5 to all saves. Additionally, the build should get +5 AB and Damage for at least 4 rounds every 5 minutes.

Anyhow, if you want something more nature flavored; you can always cross-class into the survival skill and either use a cloak with the Track feat or just drop the Armor Skin feat in favor of it. For example you could take the Track feat pre-epic in the place of the Blindfight feat and just push the Blindfight feat to be taken on a Divine Champion bonus feat level, which just pushes the other feats a little later and drops out the Armor Skin at level 30.

And yeah, 15+ skill points in survival is more than enough, not to mention that most +detection skill items tend to have some bonuses on survival too.
