Polymorphing again
This time a simple, if manifold, question:
Do the following AC boni transfer to the forms:
1) Fist of the Forest CON AC bonus?
2) Phantom WIS AC?
3) Duelist INT AC?
4) Invisible Blade INT AC?
5) Battlerager Natural AC bonus?
6) Tanarukk Natural AC bonus?
7) Magic Vestment AC bonus on shield?
8) Magic Vestment AC bonus on armor?

Re: Polymorphing again
The Wiki says:
I would then assume that anything besides what is listed here does not work, except I'm thinking that Magic Vestment on Armor will probably transfer, but since Shield AC is calculated like as a Druid, it is only 1/2 the AC (5 AC being still 2 AC when shifted).Polymorph Mechanic
- Monk AC is disabled during wildshape, polymorph and shapechange.
- Natural AC from Palemaster, Frostmage and Dragon Disciple is disabled during polymorph and shapechange.
- Natural, Deflection, and Armor AC from items merge, dodge AC does not merge.

Re: Polymorphing again
I don't know. Given that the wiki explicitly mentions AC that is disabled, the rest might just as well work...I would then assume that anything besides what is listed here does not work
Your guess re. MV sounds plausible.
I also suspected that Phantom AC might not work since it probably counts as Monk AC. This was confirmed by a player IG.
That still leaves some questions open, though...

Based on how I made the system:
1) Yes.
2) No.
3) Yes.
4) Yes.
5) Yes.
6) Shouldnt.
AC Bonus is applied as stacking shield ac.
Dunno if there was something changed afterwards.

Re: Polymorphing again
FotF AC doesn't stack in bear warrior bear form, and it specifically says in the description it doesn't stack.. I don't think this is right.. or if it is, it shouldn't work in poly.Nachti wrote:Based on how I made the system:

Re: Polymorphing again
It looks like that dodge AC is not only not transfering, but ignored completely (including, for examle, armor bonuses from WS and FotF). I think it would be nice to add warnings to dodge AC granting feats (like Dervish and WS passive AC bonuses)

Thanks, Nachti. This helps and opens up a number of build options.Based on how I made the system:

I am especially glad FotF CON AC bonus is at least supposed to transfer and thus enables low CL polymorph gishes.
Two short follow-ups:
1) Does it actually transfer or is it bugged as pointed out by K...?
2) Which CON score is used as the AC-determining base: the CON of the shape or the original CON?

FotF AC is not meant to transfer when polymorphed.

Aargh. There goes another source of AC. I hope the same is not true for Duelist AC.FotF AC is not meant to transfer when polymorphed.

Re: Polymorphing again
By the way, I finally got Shapechange and noticed that the Maur - although on the list in the wiki - is not available to pick. Will it be included eventually? It is a great-looking shape (if it's the one I know from Sigil) and I planned my build around its stats...

Maur is an underdark race thus its UD only. It shares the appearance with frost giants.
Duelist AC works. Also dervish and co are supposted to work, dunno why it doesnt.

Re: Polymorphing again
Because they're tied to the on equip scripts who are triggered when a polymoprh effect takes place, and the creature you polymorph into doesn't fulfill the conditions for those feats to be active.

While we're at it: what about Protective Ward? It should transfer, right?

Re: Polymorphing again
I thought I read awhile ago there was a fix for resting after wildshaping back into your normal form without getting killed.
But it seems like if you wildshape back to normal form and your not at full or close to full health you just instantly die upon resting.
