You can use Flurry of Blows (a combat mode) with Northlander Hewing (a combat stance) at the same time. My guess is you can also use Expose Weakness at the same time (it shouldnt count as stance because it was originaly an activation feat like fiery fists).

Got mixed answers, can someone on QC test and confirm?Valefort wrote:Atm NH works unarmed.
Also, what is the stance on this, should it be allowed or is it working as intended?

NH works with gloves, I just can't help think it's dumb, can't really picture it IC wise.

Agreed, should be removed IMO.Valefort wrote:NH works with gloves, I just can't help think it's dumb, can't really picture it IC wise.

Northlander hewing is a style of combat made famous by the Northern barbarian tribes, who are reknowned for the savage strength they can put behind each blow.

Granted...those are more like glove-gauntlets.

And it's a barbarian style, not a monks. (Please remove it.)

Re: Northlander Hewing & Flurry of Blows
If removed, should it also only work with some types of weapons? Does it really make sense for it to work with sickles, daggers etc...?
Anyhow, NH and FoB does work together, but when I tried a build with it in the testing module, NH doesn't get the benefit of the 2nd FoB attack - not sure if this has been changed since though (5 base attacks + flurry should have resulted in 5 NH attacks, but you "only" get 4)

I think of it as big-swing haymakers - which is why there are fewer attacks. Makes good sense as a feature: the oddness, if any, is mostly in the name, I think. I disagree with removing it for Unarmed. Unnecessarily takes away a fighting style option for Barbarian boxers who go in hard and heavy rather than Bruce Lee like.

Re: Northlander Hewing & Flurry of Blows
Re. number of attacks: I remember Valefort pointing out once that now NH takes away a third of your attacks (rounded up), counting in the bug one from Flurry. So if you have 5 attacks +2 from Flurry, you lose 3.
