(South of The Sunset Mountains)

A personal servant of the Red Illusionist approaches his carriage and bows at the doorway, leather pouch in both hands. The servant then extends it out and upward towards a horribly scarred person covered in red robes. Acknowledgement which is given in the form of a subtle rise from his master's hand prompts his servant and personal guard. With that, the parchment is unfurled and held up before the Red Magus to observe.

"Make ready the procession." a hollow, emotionless and coarse voice finally responds. "To depart immediately. Twice haste."

"The provisioners may protest Magus Thuun, as we have been pressing for the last tenday. . ." a cautious and respectful reply. But he does not receive an answer.

"As you command." The servant and personal guard of Beolmaf finally states. Then in a graceful practiced motion he stands upright and returns the parchment back into the leather pouch.

A stall of Thayan goods does brisk business despite a local knight's attempt to slander their name. Wines and tea sold out, and the merchants with Mulhorandi accents say more may be coming from Thay in the coming tendays.

Several wands exchange hand for coin, with assurances that more will be on offer soon.

In the Early hours of the morning a figure stepped through the portal that connected the Enclave to Thay. The statuesque and stoic figure held within his plated fist a scroll rolled and stored within a golden plated tube, capped on each end by ivory stops, red silken tassels hanging loosely off each end. When intercepted by the Enclave guards, his only explanation would be that he had a missive from Yuzhi Doressini, The Mistress of Western Trade, and it was to be delivered directly to the Khazark herself. The man would be found standing outside the Khazark's office as though on display for any who may look his way, his feet planted shoulder width apart, his shoulders back and chest out, a gauntleted hand clenched into a fist at the small of his back with the other clutching the missive to be delivered. He would not move from this spot until called upon by the Khazark, or until the letter was placed into her hand.

One of the places the new arrivals Dreadmaster Vadim Morozov and his wife Yadira Morozov could be seen visiting some days past was the Thayan Enclave within the city. Pleasantries were exchanged but whatever was discussed is kept behind closed doors.

Activity brews in the Thayan Enclave of Baldurs Gate.
Recently, a new face took the mantle of Khazark, and under her a few other new faces including that of a charismatic Magus that goes by Ulzan Gahiji.
"Hopefully", he'd say, "The Thayan Enclave and the great city of Baldur's Gate shall together prosper in rekindled trade."

"Over the past few weeks the Red Wizard Enclave has been slowly making a bigger presence in the coast. Despite in the past the Red Wizards being known to be amongst some of the greatest foes the sword coast has faced, a representative of the Enclave; a young, disfigured Red Wizard of Thay named Xorgrael Sanir and his Thayan Knight, Alano Boriin, can be seen wandering around the lands of Baldur's Gate and journeying with many adventurers; working together to clear out ruins filled with dark creatures that make frequent attempts to plague the citizens of the Sword Coast. Xorgrael afterwards taking great care to study those who he believes may prove worthy to serve the enclave and passing along rich mercenary opportunities to those he feels would serve the interests of the Enclave unquestioningly. He is also passing along opportunities to those who may be interested in serving the Thayan enclave in Gladiatorial combat for the entertainment of the Red Wizards of course.

He makes good mention that Thay is amongst one of the richest lands in all of Faerun. Anyone who wishes to serve the Enclave can be guaranteed a considerable sum of money and some of the richest magical items on the face of Faerun would be made available provided they prove themselves. He always makes sure to mention that any form of monetary payments before signing a contract with them is to be discussed with his Khazark."

Glory to the Red Wizards of Thay!

The desire for power is the main driving force in the humanoid races of Faerun- namely, achievement, ambition, and the striving to reach the highest possible position in life.

*A man entered the Enclave to visit the popular Thayan merchant to make some minor purchases. Before his business was concluded, he slipped a note to the merchant. Afterwards, the man would give a two finger salute along with a smile before he made his leave.*

Some rumours and flyers travel about the city of Baldurs Gate and the surrounding areas, that a mercenary company called "The Red Sparrows" is looking to hire on new mercenary men and women. In exchange for their service, they will be given room and board, as well as their won private training area and a place to call their own. They will also be permitted an allotment of free drinks and given priority contracts to certain jobs and work around the coast.

In exchange, they are to pay a dividend of 10%, or a magical item of fair quality, to their benefactor, the Thay.

The folk of the Red Sparrows are otherwise free to roam and take out their own private contracts as well. The only jobs that are forbidden are: Murder and Thievery within Ducal lands, or any other contracts that would otherwise harm Ducal allies or break the laws of Ducal lands.

Rumour has it that a fair number have already signed contracts and joined the group.

A woman with a clean shaven scalp stands firmly behind a counter within a room decorated with intriguing magical wares of infinite type. As the Magistrati enters, she looks at him directly, forcing a stern smile.

"Welcome to the Thayan Enclave. Are you interested in one of our fine wares?" she immediately says.

The monk-priest pauses and returns the stare, but with a far gentle of a smile. "My name is Arthayer Zorastryl, Magistrati, faithful to the High One Azuth, and...shall I say...friend to any Spellsavant that may be from Thay, in the order of the Red Wizards. If possible, I wish to speak with one of your superiors."

The cold Thayan Merchant almost immediately responds. "I am afraid they are busy right now, but I will inform them about your request. Please, feel free to move to our main hall and wait patiently. You may also leave a message and we will contact you as soon as possible."

Arthayer pauses, unlocking his hands from behind his back and lightly strokes his beard. "I shall wait for a small amount of time, here. Perhaps someone will find themselves free to converse sooner than later." His phrase not ending in a question tone.

He moves toward the main hall to wait for an indeterminate time, but before he even gets to far, he pauses in his steps to admire the imposing ruby golem....

"Upon returning to the Enclave after what is rumored Xorgrael excavating a small set of ruins around the region of Amn, he is stopped by the Female Thayan Merchant at the front desk. She informs him of a strange man named Arthayer Zorastryl who was wanting to speak with a representative of the Enclave for some time."

"Did he say what he wanted?" Xorgrael asks his voice tone edging on curiousity.

She shakes her head and continues, "No Lord Magus. He was waiting in the main hall admiring our Ruby Golem, waiting some time before departing."

Xorgrael nods in response. "Very well. I'll send my personal courier to seek this man out with an invitation. If he wishes to reconvene to speak I am available at his earliest convenience. I'm curious what it is he wants as we do not often get guests."

The courier would seek the man out and if successfully finding him, would present a written parchment posing as a written invitation to the Enclave should he wish to return.

It is signed Xorgrael Sanir, Circle Leader of the Enclave.

A letter carrying name of Khazark was delivered to the Embassy by a well dressed courier claiming to work for a wizard operating out of northern area of Coast. No names were offered.

"In the dead of night beneath a moon lit sky, a hooded man donned in red robes and bearing a disfigured face would be seen in public wandering the quiet streets of Baldur's Gate. Judging by his eastern Faerunian accent and Flamboyant red robes, many would immediately recognize him as a Red Wizard of Thay. He could be seen speaking in public with many locals of both the city and the undercellar and asking about a potential entourage of strange individuals of an Eastern Faerunian descent that have recently arrived at Baldur's Gate. He would get mixed reactions from the locals who spoke with him from scowling while in his presence to others simply not caring whether he was a Red Wizard or not. He would use a mix of diplomatic words and gold to possibly gain the information he desired. He would give a clear description of a female harpist with a black eye and a broken wrist, possibly an entourage of Thayan Knights, a collection of slaves and an impatient Rogue Red Wizard with a bald head and tattoos. He informs many that anyone that could give him useful information on the subject will be greatly rewarded from his own purse should the information they provide prove to be true."

"As the bright-lit sun rises from the horizon and dawns a new day in the city of Baldur's Gate, the morning bustle from the streets would soon pickup and remove the peaceful tranquility that would often come at night time when everyone is normally asleep. The birds chirp amidst the wind-blown trees, citizens would slowly be seen going about their business in the streets and the guard would be seen returning to their homes while their replacements come to take their appropriate posts. It was at this time that Xorgrael Sanir, Malikir of the Red Wizard Enclave in Baldur's Gate, would arise from his bed and after finishing his bath, proceeded to dress himself for the coming day ready to do his duty to Thay and serve the will of the Zulkirs at the behest of his Khazark.

Xorgrael left his room and made way for the dining hall at the other end of the Enclave. He stood straight up as he strutted about the quiet, luxurious halls of the Enclave, giving off an authoritive and confident demeanor while the Thayan Knights guarding the secluded halls of the Enclave would salute the Red Wizard with respect as he passed on by. The dining hall would be filled with Xorgrael's fellow Red Wizards, apprentices and novices that also lived in the Enclave as they feasted on a delicious breakfast meal prepared by the Enclave's skilled cooks. Talk would be aflutter in the air as the Thayans conversed about day-to-day operations of the Enclave and various other subjects.



Other than that it was a new day for the Enclave as Xorgrael went about the Enclave doing business as usual. Trade clients were slowly building up for the Enclave, Red Sparrow Mercenary recruitment was going extremely well and more adventurers would be seen buying various potions, scrolls and other items as the reputation of the Enclave was slowly improving. Life is good for the Thayans!
