CW Mines Question

Unread post by Duster47 »

I cannot find something in the Toolset. See the photo.

Perhaps it is a variation of the RWS "Floor-4-corners" tile? Four variations are incidated but I don't know how to access them.

Also found in the Toolset, I found some "FW Bones" that appear to be treasure containers similar to treasure chest. Any reason to not use them?

For what it is worth, I have L2 of CWM re-worked aside for sounds and spawns.

Any help in finding this would be appreciated. D47

Haha.. I had the same problem. I
looked for that lift for some time and finally realized it's part of the tileset.
It's not a placable.

The "FW" stuff is one of our loot items.

So, I further researched this going back to what I believe to be the NWVault source:

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... ail&id=474

It mentions for builders to put three files in the Overide so I did. I also added the original source versions of two HAKs (assumed to be equivalent to the BG versions).

Restart the Toolset, open the CWMines file, connect the 2 HAKS, save, close, restart... and ....

No matter what I do, the RWS Deep Mine tiles have grayed-out "Misc" properties except three "Hook_" items. The typical "Floor_ 4_Corners)" (sic) tile should have 4 variations. The typical one (Var = 0) is crossed tracks w/ side-track turns. The elevator lift is Var = 3.

As mentioned before, all of the tile properties are grayed-out and stuck on Var=0. Does anyone know how to convert a tile to a different variation? Somebody did it because Var=3 is used on CW Mines L3.

Thanks, D47

Does anyone have any idea how

Well, I think I am reading your question correctly Duster. Rephrase your question if this doesn't answer it.

Most of the Misc properties are always grayed out. I think the only thing I have ever used in that tab of the properties was the UV scroll feature to make walls or floors look like they were flowing if I had a cool texture to play with.

The only means I have ever know of for shifting the variation of an interior tile is by using the UP and DOWN arrow keys on your key about or where ever they may be. To rotate the tile I use the RIGHT and LEFT arrow keys.

I think there was another mechanism but I can't remember off the top of my head as I don't use it.

Is that the info you were looking for?
