Re: New item shop
I know I for one was very excited to see it. Some pretty neat things in there.

I couldn't find it either. The only hint that I saw referred to the BG Docks and 9/10 doors are locked with dc 85.Jepop wrote:Hello, I don't have a dog in this fight but I would very much like to know where this new shop is?

Thanks for reminding me of the hint. I saw and understood the hint the first time, but failed miserably to explore properly.
I love what you've done here with Morningstars, Flails, flails, and maces! I absolutely love it.
Request: Could some of these weapons be duplicated to Light Hammers? I'm referring to the weapons without the Hide and Move Silent bonuses. This would give non-hipster Gnomes and Halflings even more weapons that only require one hand to use.

Re: New item shop
The intention is to open more shops as we go. The idea is to keep the shops themed. So if we ever make mithral items available for purchase, we might have a dwarf selling them in a mine or some part of the Underdark, for example.
Naturally, building a shop takes a lot of work, and QC has to tinker with it as well to make sure it's working properly and priced effectively. So people who'd like to try their hands at building shops, and are OK with having their work potentially adjusted through collaborative discussion before it gets into the game, are encouraged to poke the DMs and QC.

Re: New item shop
Might get in trouble for overtly saying where it is but i will give a slightly less vague hint. The part of the hint about being thirsty means its in one of the taverns in the docks. Which one you will have to find out yourself.

It sounds great. Too bad I'll never be able to afford any of the items...

Re: New item shop
I kind of like what I am seeing in the new shop. It is addressing the lesser used weapons and armor. Might be nice to see more scale mails and hide armors as well.
Basically, any of those weapons or armors that people ask, "why would anyone use that?" Now maybe we can have an answer in shops.
I like this merchant requires 50 gold to view the goods. I'd rather the challenges be a bit steeper. His DC's are too low for the level of goods he sells anyway.
