Re: Divine power blance changes
Divine might does not give an AB bonus but a bonus to damage wildsheep.

It would still make them worse in melee and lower their average damage, which seems to be the intent without hurting caster clerics.

Are you saying you need both wisdom and charisma at 19 or just one or the other at 19?Valefort wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 3:25 pmHierophant requirement added :General Announcement wrote:This and some other balance changes will go live with a 100 RCR period, in the coming weeks. Silence on ground....no more requiem. It's really that easy.
Also, staff probably still doesn't make decisions based on pvp balance so those arguments aren't likely to change directions.
Get a silence wand...cheap and exceedingly useful in pve and pvp.

What are these changes based upon? Have the mobs submitted a signed petition for such changes because the players are exceeding natural killing limits?chad878262 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2019 8:55 pm Also, staff probably still doesn't make decisions based on pvp balance so those arguments aren't likely to change directions.

Jokes aside, I am curious as to the purpose.
If it's to experiment with change? Sounds fun, but can come with mixed results, like most frontier science.
As to countering req. Yep, silence should work a treat, and for the low low price of 11UMD.
Doesn't knockdown interrupt inspirations too? Would that interrupt/cancel requiem as well? Considering it's a 'song'. Or does the Bard need to make a Conc check to keep it up and strong?

...mobs signed a petition to get equal treatment as bosses that were given sonic immunity because of SoR
tho now that you mention it, players exceeding the natural killing limits was probably a hidden factor they didnt come out with so they didnt sound too much like wimps

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
In pvp Requiem is pretty op, you can run out of a silenced area.. and for Sonic immunity, anyone with a wand of lesser spell breach makes that useless.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
PvP is extremely low in terms of priority (always last as far as I'm concerned), however in PvE the healing is what matters, especially for STR bards who deal much more physical damage in a round than their requiem does.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
Is this nerf bat going to land on Favored Souls and Druids (esp. Dragon Druids) any time soon? They can heal, fight and tank just as well as our friend the bard after all ...

Re: Divine power blance changes
Excuse me but... How are Facoured souls OP?
Clerics are far more powerful given they can have even non divine spells with the right domains.
FS have high saves but that's all. And RP awesomeness.
FS already can't become hierophants too.
If we want to downgrade FS so badly, if we hate them so much, perhaps it would be best to just remove it from the list along with the sorcerer and the warlock.

Once the nerf monster is fed past midnight, it keeps on growing and growing.
There will always be something op relative to something else.
That is why WotC does not ban OP cards and combos in Magic: the Gathering. They ban only the ones that severely limit deck variance at tournaments due to becoming ubiquitous there, and then only the ones that become ubiquitous at top 8.
