Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
Thank you so much for the updates and new shapes.
For those Shifters that are level 30, can we get a 100 percent RCR to take advantage of new shapes and abilities?
Thanks!

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
No new shapes were added that would require an RCR.
As for Hewing, I talked to matelener and I'll see about increasing it to 66% Strength instead of 50% for Shifter forms. Dae will also be working on an engine fix to allow cold iron/silver creature weapons to actually bypass DR like they're supposed to.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
Have any changes been made to the Bear Warrior PrC?
I remember there being a thread about some balancing / quality of life issues.
Key among them were item materials not transfering. Essentially making the Bear Warrior weaker against enemies with DRs that they would normally bypass with their equipped weapon. Maybe this one was already updated, but I can't find it on the forums nor on the Wiki.
Additionally item saves doesn't transfer (according to the wiki), which will actually lower a Bear Warrior's saves when shifting form as part of raging.
Seem like the kind of things to address for a shapeshifting class too, no?
If they've already been addressed, and there's just no mention of it anywhere, then I'll slink back to my corner.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
The bugs mentioned in earlier posts have been fixed.
Current bugs:
Druid legendary shapes might not have their abilities working.
Shapechange/normal wildshape forms with gui abilities are not having the gui clear when leaving the form.
Will work on fixing both of these for next update.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
I am looking at the wiki - two shapes you specify - Hydra and Zombie, are currently not on the list and I could not choose them when leveling. Are these new shapes or they are not on the wiki?
Just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything.
I look forward to the new looks and updates on the other shapes.

Those are shapechange forms, not shifter forms.thepaganking wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 6:12 pm I am looking at the wiki - two shapes you specify - Hydra and Zombie, are currently not on the list and I could not choose them when leveling. Are these new shapes or they are not on the wiki?

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
My mistake; was too excited to read thoroughly.
I did not see any new shifter forms.
Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
Hi, apparently the Legendary Animals for wildshape are still not working. All 3 added (Ape, Snake, Horse) don't seem to do anything on my character. My model doesn't change, my stats don't change. I do lose all ability to use my stuff unless I click to Revert to Original Shape, but nothing else happens.Rhifox wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 5:17 pm The bugs mentioned in earlier posts have been fixed.

Edit: Also, like you mentioned, I cant use my abilities on the forms that still work, the little box that usually has them doesnt show up.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
Why are the Legendary Animals now available for every shapeshifter, as it is also a feat that druids can take? https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title ... imal_Shape
Are they different or the same?
(Same with dragons and the extra feat dragon shape.)
Why are all gimmics made more and more available for many classes ?
Wouldn't it be much more enticing, if classes/PRCs would have their (and only their) special flair?

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
They are different. The druid versions have considerably higher stats, are faster, and all of them have DR. The druid versions also have many more special abilities and extra feats that benefit them (which are currently off but will be fixed next update).
Shapechange in pnp allows transformation into any kind of creature. It is not restricted to a small list. And variety and additional options for character customization is always important, IMO. Druids remain superior at it, though, with longer durations, better stats, ability to cast spells, more gear transference, special feats that affect them, and so on.

Re: Today's Patch: Polymorph Changes
Agreed. As a druid player I don't feel "less special" at all. Wildshapes are stronger than just turning yourself into whatever with the spell, plus all the flavor of being a druid and being able to cast spells and overall having things that strengthen the shapes

Re: Bags
Items already have a unique identifier associated with them. It's visible in the combat log when looting with the /lootall command from the Skywing Extension.Rhifox wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 1:53 pm To follow up on the removal of the NW Tradeway bags, we've got a plan for implementing bags in a way that does not tax server resources. To assuage concerns of the NWTW container removal, I'm going to give a summary of our plans.
We are looking at creating a "virtual bag" system that stores gear in sql to prevent bic inflation. This will work similar to vanilla bags in the sense of being able to drag and drop items (and might be usable for horses, too?). Before that can be done, though, we need to finish work on a universal ID system. This was already being worked on before this, and is needed to better identify specific characters in a way that can't get broken by things like Disguise or name changes and so on, and would allow various improvements in several systems.
Dae can provide more details on the specifics of this, but in short, we have plans to work on these, but it may take some time to build these systems. So we ask players to be patient. We've heard the clear desires the player base has for the implementation of containers, so we are going to work towards a way of adding them to the server properly.
We'll give you an update when these systems are further along.
