How to change -home folder in EE ?

Hi ! i tried with GOG icon, i tried with argument in GOG, not worked.. is it possible ? ps: i got GOAT.

Should work, I'm using GOG version both EE and complete, parallel.
Just set the parameters on a shortcut of the exe of the game, not the GOG icon.
You don't need the GOG client to start the game or play. Unlike steam.
I'll check when back home how I did it exactly, but should be like mentioned.

Same..... NWN2 Boxed+all ext, GOG Complete, GoG EE. i use my boxed CDkeys lol, i'm long time BGTSCC (casual) player probably from begans... like when BG city was better at place with the pub/tavern-terrace & shops... just an opinion..

i tried again :

"G:\GOG Games\NWN2 Enhanced Edition\nwn2.exe" -home "C:\Users\...user\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2 PC" on desktop shortcut...

tried this too :

on COMPLETE+CE i share same 1600x900 folder in pCloud both desktop PC & Rog Ally console in bed... works normally.
but not with EE+GOAT.

i would like 4K on PC & 1600x900 on ROG Ally Console, to save some storage space on both.

EDIT: FOUND ISSUE ! let me test again, i'll double post to give news... (it's pCloud sync i done bad.. files deleted..), BRB !

I renamed my Complete nwn2 folder to "Neverwinter Nights 2 old" and set the -home in client extender shortcut.
Than I let EE create it's own folder of "Neverwinter Nights 2" and copied the server files in there.

This worked fine for me. Should be possible to change -home for EE too.

Remember there are 2 folder locations and both games share the same Documennt location. I myself don't see any reason for the Home feature. I can use other servers and the same loging with now trouble.

GOAT works only for multiplayer it seems : it creates a new NWN2 folder in docs & not detect NWN2EE home folder with HAK & SAVES.
doesn't work here.
CE works on COMPLETE, but CE-goat won't work on EE... dunno why.

EDIT: tbh, CE-GOAT f*cked all my game... even after deleting all.. game folder+reinstall, docs.. all deleted.. & game f*cked. (((((((
probably traces in registry.... now i got 2 NWN2 folders in docs... very disapointed..

fixed double folder issue, but my chars have disappeared from serverlist with good boxed serials.... disapointed. (((

Also characters shouldn't be missing from server list, are you sure you entered the correct server? game.bgtscc.net?
Do you see a list of servers in multiplayer? Or did you connect directly?
Are you using G.O.A.T.?

Fairly sure you need separate document folders for NWN2 Complete and NWN2 EE. If want to use both, or remove/rename the NWN2 documents folder before starting EE. Or at least this was needed in the past, not sure if current info.

all fixed, apart i don't use GOAT :

- for double folder, it was GOG bad argument with -home, i removed it. (unchecked custom argument like picture up)

- for chars, i done same as you, i copied all COMPLETE docs to EE docs but kept EE saves. they back.

i don't want to touch much coz i gonna do sh*t... so i gonna resync to pCloud.
dunno why GOAT destroyed my game tbh, now i fear to use it. Maybe it was GOG argument fault...

i needed 2 folders for PC & ROG Ally console. both win11. direct connexion.

edit: i'll retry GOAT another day now it's proper & syncing to pCloud. i hope it will work as it should... will report, brb.

All game is well setup, clean, proper as normal again.

(step by step)

1- i install CE-GOAT in game folder.
2- i rename my NWN2 folder in Docs like "NWN2 PC"...
3- i shortcut "nwn2.exe" to desktop, and i add -home "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2 PC", as it should work like normal, as COMPLETE...
3- i launch game with -homed shortcut on desktop....

4- it shows GOAT extension down main menu...
5- i click LOAD... AND THERE'S NO SAVEGAMES !

6- i Exit NWN2
7- i go in my Docs

8- GOAT CE or -home mostly created a new NWN2 "clean" folder in Docs..... (no SAVES, no HAK server files, no CDkeys file...

(i edit IN REAL tIME...)

9- i re-rename my backup folder NWN2 PC to NWN2......
10 - i click normal GOG NWN2 shortcut on desktop....

(YAY ! FRiendly Inn Taver ! I'm back in....)
(there's GOAT CE servers browser as GOATED by SLAYER*****.. hum oops ! lol.. sry xD.. pardon me... i'm getting crazy with home thing....)

11- i Exit game as with or without GOAT-CE it now works "fine" ~....

BUT -HOME function doesnt work. as you can reproduce step-by-step.
it doesnt work here, CLEAN INSTALL.

just wanted to report if anyone has same issue.

I was moderately sure it would work.
Though I went the other way around, as stated before.
